5th International Fiber Recycling Symposium
Date: June 8th-10th, 2015 in Union Square, San Francisco
Venue: San Francisco State University
Downtown Campus, 835 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94103
Over 22 million tons of fiber waste is deposited in US landfills every year. In the United States, there is little understanding of potential reuse or recycling of fiber waste. The international fiber research community has an opportunity to raise awareness to one of the largest global consumption markets about how to conserve resources for the future in fashion apparel, interior design, and industrial design.
This is the 5th Symposium, past events have been held in Yokohama and Kyoto Japan, the U. S., and the U.K. The intention of the Symposium is to bring together industrial and academic research to exchange current best practices, new ideas, and form relationships for future exploration and production procedures.
Let this Symposium create inspiration and motivation to change how fiber is discarded and recycled for new industry opportunities.
Symposium website will go live in September 2014.
